Well, here we are. I have lots of little updates about life, and most importantly—big updates about books!
I’m going to start off with some life updates from September 2022 from when I last posted (hangs head in slight shame). I have graduated college with my master’s degree in counseling. Yay! We have also adopted a lovely new dog named Aramis. He’s a mostly-Chihuahua mutt with a fully-grown velociraptor inside. He loves to lick, bite, and cuddle. And our other dog, Chewie, is slowly growing used to having him around. Not happily, but we’re getting there.
Now I’m working full time and not attending classes, which leaves me more time for (you guessed it) my writing!
Since September, I have been working hard on many things (too many book ideas and not enough time to write/hands to type) to prepare for my publishing journey from here on out. I attended a fantastic conference where I learned a lot about marketing, got some feedback on my current works, and am very excited to move forward with what I’ve learned.
First, I’m going to work to post more consistently. I’m thinking updates every few months will keep everyone aware I’m still alive and working on my books, in addition to providing information on upcoming works I’ll be publishing.
Second, I have to develop a brand. So, you may have seen for a while I was trying out a pen name. That affair was brief and not fun at all, so I will be publishing under my own name, in multiple genres. So there. Part of that is defiance, while the rest is all about consistency and staying true to who I am and want to be as an author.
Third, I am updating my website! Please be patient as I do all the things.
Fourth, I am self-publishing my science fiction series! The first book comes out July 22, available exclusively on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. I’m super excited, and if you follow me on TikTok, you’ll find me live on the day of publication with a big, huge, giant, gargantuan announcement! I’ll be posting to all the socials shortly thereafter.
With all that said, I’m going to keep this short and sweet. In the future, I’ll be making more announcements as time goes on and I get new things going, but I’m excited to move forward with what I have now and plans for the future! As always, thank you for the support and love! I love writing, and sharing that part of myself with others.
